The Deep Meditative State
Ambient Rhythmic Entrainment for Inward Exploration and Moving Meditation
The Deep Meditative State quickly guides you into deep meditative states similar to the Buddhist samadhi and yogic deep-relaxation modes of consciousness. Based on traditional shamanic journey work and trance rhythms, these tracks can be used at low volume for meditation, or at high volume for ecstatic dance or moving meditation practice.
Ideal for:
- Facilitating meditation practices that focus on deep states of stillness and inner exploration
- Moving meditation, breathwork, trance dance, shamanic journeying
- Deep relaxation and centering
How the Brain Shift Series Works
The Strong Institute’s sound therapies are based on extensive testing of current brainwave entrainment principles, combined with traditional healing rhythms and musical instruments. Jeff Strong’s methods have been clinically demonstrated to be effective in the treatment of ADD/ADHD, autism, depression, chronic anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, and other disorders. The Brain Shift series makes available the Institute’s most popular acoustic therapy modalities to the general public.
How to Use
Brain Shift programs work best when played in an open-air setting rather than on headphones: on your home or office stereo, desktop or laptop computer, boom box, CD clock radio, iPod speaker dock, or on a portable music player with a built-in loudspeaker.
1. For meditation, play quietly while sitting, Try synchronizing your breathing to the rhythms.
2. For dance and moving meditation, the louder the better!
Track 1: One Tribe
A driving, four-beat-per-second rhythmic pulse in the tradition of shamanic ritual drumming, used for millennia to transport consciousness into nonordinary states of awareness.
Track 2: Journey
A softer, more calming variation of track 1 that uses rhythmic pulsations to induce entrainment at the lower end of the theta brainwave spectrum.
Note: This title is also available as part of Jeff Strong’s complete 8-CD Brain Shift Collection.
